Assistant Management Accountant

Salary:  £30,000 to £35,000 (dependent upon experience)

At The Yaboo Company Limited, we relate our success directly to the strength of our employees & their ability to work as a team.  To continue operating at our high standards, we’re seeking an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join our busy finance team.  In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Management Accountant by maintaining financial records, managing the sales and purchase ledgers and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.

Key responsibilities:

  • General bookkeeping duties
  • Processing invoices and credit notes
  • Reconciling supplier and customer accounts
  • Handling bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Maintaining accurate accounting records
  • Credit Control
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Preparation and processing of monthly payroll including EPS/FPS submission to HMRC
  • Ad-hoc management reporting and financial analysis
  • Assisting in preparation of year-end statutory accounts
  • Completion of monthly management accounts and analysis of any variances
  • Processing journals, reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.
  • Good IT skills including experience of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with accounting software such as Xero and Sage

Preferred Experience:

  • Xero cloud software and related apps, accounts production software, and tax software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, Vlookups, and Sumifs.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and building strong client relationships.
  • A working knowledge of payroll process

This is a Hybrid position, you may be required to travel to an office to fulfil this position as and when required to do so.
